I’m Julia Chan, a travel & photography enthusiast who has travelled to 6 continents, 42 countries & 138 cities. The travel bug bit me hard after my solo Europe backpacking in 2006.
Travelling taught me lessons which enlivens my heart & soul. Travelling constantly allows me to re-discover & redefine myself. I often encourage Solo & Independent Travel – Have your very own introspective journey!
End of 2007, I met my soul-mate, Colin Binns and now, my life-time travel mate. He is not so into travel & dreads long haul flights. After 8 years, he has fallen to the “dark side”. #thepoweroflove
Way back in 2007, numerous friends urged me to start a travel blog. I have been procrastinating due to my crazy workload (and I hate writing). 2014 is my Gap Year (more travels, of course). Finally, I created this blog to keep my travel memories ALIVE and SHARE my personal experiences, tips gathered along the way.
My Travel Mantra
Travelling Style: Independent. Only certain activities/ locations, I do join tours.
Baggage: Always travel light & bring essentials. A 15L bagpack or 26″ medium size luggage.
Destinations: Natural Landscapes, Historical & Beach.
Research Level: Intensive Planner (Ha-ha). Not necessary to execute 100% of plan. Flexibility is there!
Frequency: Preferably once a quarter, to recharge & keep myself sane.
Camera: Canon 700d with the lens range from 11-200mm. Samsung phone is always on my other hand.
Hope you enjoy reading my blog! Happy Travels & Stay Safe!
